Originally released to vinyl in 2019, the album represents a group of compositions written between 2016 and 2018. Moving away from earlier "post-surf" material, Mall of Horrors leans more heavily into a cinematic realm with layered synthesizers, sampled noise and even occasional acoustic instrumentation. Thematically, the album reflects imagery from the walls in a hall of mirrors, casting a light on the ever more chaotic times in which we lose, and find ourselves.
